Do you strategically clean the floors so you will not step on the “freshly cleaned” wet spots to avoid footprints?
Or does your kitchen floor has been turn into a slippery skating rink after a wash?
Maybe you have come to accept this as your reality over time but it definitely doesn’t have to be that way!
Those streaks and footprints that annoyingly take a spotlight after cleaning with traditional chemicals is due to residue left behind.
Certain cleaners contain a wax, Teflon, or silicone product to provide a “shine” to your floors which looks nice at first but is not a true indicator of a clean surface. Just like the shiniest waxy apple is not an indicator of it being the best apple.
Unfortunately this wax causes build up over time making it difficult to remove or effectively clean the floors.
Soap based cleaners leave behind a sticky film that is responsible for footprint impressions, dust collection, and slipperiness.
In an article titled Detergent Residues on Surfaces - Food for Microbes, Dr Jay Glasel refers to this residue left behind as bacterial food. He found that cleaning residues can act as nutrients for unwanted bacteria. The very thing you don’t want is to provide a feeding ground for germs out of your freshly cleaned floors. Gross!
When I was about 13 years old I decided to be helpful and clean the house. I washed the front entrance linoleum floor with soap and water, and the result was...well, amusing. I had innocently made the floor super slippery and anyone coming through the door paid the price. I initially felt terrible watching my family skate around, but after a while enjoyed watching my brothers nearly slip and fall! Afterall, they were annoying me so slippery floors equaled sweet revenge :).
I highly doubt our customers are hoping to trip up their loved ones though, so let’s delve into how to avoid leaving behind undesirable residues.
The Cleaning Industry Research Institute describes green cleaning as a way of reducing environmental and physical health risks. Which is exactly why we developed a product that would address the above concerns and so much more! The detrimental effects of many traditional cleaning agents on health and our environment is overwhelmingly enormous and beyond the scope of this article.
We believe providing a safe alternative is our responsibility if we can...and we can!
Formula 101 is not only a safe, biodegradeable, and organic alternative...it is also super effective in getting that true clean streak free shine to your floors.
Unlike typical household cleaners, Formula 101 does not leave behind a residue to collect dust or cause a slip or fall. When used as directed it provides an instantaneous dry surface. You no longer need to abolish the whole family into their respective rooms until your floors are dry.
Formula 101 is a plant based surfactant that works like magic by lifting dirt molecules off the floor as though it was never there to begin with. It will even remove soaked in stains from between boards thereby eliminating discolouration.
What type of floor does this information apply to? The answer is any floor that has a finish on it. Whether that’s tile, cork, hardwood, laminate, and so on. Wondering if it’s safe on your specific floor? Contact us and find out.

Have you ever found a grease stain on your carpets and uttered in hushed curses that you will never get it out? What if you could easily get it out without much effort on your part or damage to your carpets? I am here to tell you that you can with Formula 101.
Whether you discovered your long lost McDonald fries on your car floor carpet with perfectly fry shaped grease stains, your cherub cheeked babe moisturized your carpets with the whole tub of Vaseline (awww), or your hubby mysteriously got engine oil on those beautiful light carpets, again! Or maybe you have teenagers running inadvertent science experiments with old pizza boxes in their dungeons and now have unforgiving grease stains to accommodate that stench wafting out of their rooms. We can’t help you with your teenager’s odd behaviours, but we can help with that grease stain on your carpet.
Grease is organic in nature—and Formula 101 is designed to work exactly on those type of stains by encapsulating individual grease molecules so they can be lifted away.
The concentration of Formula 101 (concentrate to water ratio) will depend on the type of stain you are wanting to clean. If it is a tougher stain, like that from from engine oil for instance, fill the bottle provided to the bottom rim/ledge with concentrate and the rest with water. This ends up being approximately 2 fluid oz (or 1/4 cup) of concentrate per 1 sprayer bottle.
Spray the stain until saturated in Formula 101. With the nozzle of the spray bottle, agitate the solution around a bit. Then take your microfibre cloth and wipe away. If there are any stains remaining, repeat the action. Spray until soaked, agitate, and wipe again.
This should get the stain out effortlessly at first go but if for whatever reason the above actions did not sufficiently get the stain out, increase your concentrate to water ratio and repeat.
The reverse holds true for a less greasy stain, simply decrease the concentration according to the stain type.
However, it will not damage the surface/carpet if the concentration of Formula 101 is stronger. Because it does not break down the dirt, you can use pure concentrate without worry of negative effects on self or your carpets.
I have yet to encounter a grease stain on my carpets that I haven’t been able to easily remove with Formula 101. That being said, we would love to hear from you the customer of any stains you've encountered where Formula 101 worked phenomenally or perhaps you found it didn’t work for you despite following directions. This gives us the opportunity to experiment with similar stains and see what kind of solution we can come up with.

The first time I was introduced to Formula 101 by my now Fiancé I dismissed the product entirely. Quite frankly his enthusiasm and promotion of it irritated me. After all I have a couple decades of cleaning experience behind me; especially being the only female offspring in a very traditional household AND working as a house cleaner during my university days. Let’s just say I know how to brush a toilet just fine and don’t appreciate being told by someone else how to do so, by a man no less!
I’m a skeptic that judges by results. At the same time I may not always be willing to try something new to find out if it is all that. It was no different with Formula 101.
Although I hated the harsh scents of traditional household cleaners that burned my eyes, would get me coughing up a lung, or leave my hands all sorts of bumpy from contact dermatitis...I wasn’t particularly willing to believe in a magical all natural solution. Until one fine evening when my entire, freshly filled, glass of wine made its debut on our brand new (and light) carpet. I was horrified!
My fiancé however donned his superhero cape and enjoyed demonstrating Formula 101’s power to a skeptical audience...me. The entire red splash literally disappeared! I figured it was simply drenched in foam and that it would reappear the next day...but it didn’t. No stain whatsoever! No evidence of my clumsy actions.
After this miraculous carpet recovery experience I started experimenting with the product throughout the house on various surfaces and stains and now here I am, sharing them with you because I’m sold on its results.
If it can turn this skeptic into a believer, I assure you it’s a product worth trying.

However, if you are simply purchasing cleaners from the store and not opting for Earth friendly products, you would be sadly mistaken. Here, I will take a more in-depth look at just what household cleaners do to the environment. And also tell you how you can make a change for the better by switching to Earth friendly products in your home.
Plenty of the cleaners we use on a daily basis contain what the Environmental Protection Agency has termed Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). VOCs include things like ammonia, nitrogen, and phosphorus. Floor cleaners, all purpose cleaners, glass cleaners, furniture polish, disinfectants, and dishwasher liquid all contain these chemicals. Studies have shown that VOCs can have serious negative effects on our health, as well as the environmental quality in our homes. Overuse can lead to allergic reactions, various illnesses, respiratory problems, and excessive fumes. On the other hand, organic cleaning products have no VOCs.
I am sure that quite a few of the cleaners you purchase from the store come in spray form. Sprays are easier to apply and simpler to wipe away. But each time you pull the trigger of a spray bottle, some of those molecules from your cleaner are also entering the air. This can be a serious issue when you are cleaning in a closed space or just in your home. One solution to this is to make sure the area you are cleaning is well ventilated. But even opening doors and windows does not eliminate these chemicals. Instead, they just travel outside where they might contribute to larger issues like smog.
Even treatment plants cannot filter out VOCs in our waterways. Each time you pour a cleaner down the drain or flush the toilet after cleaning, think of that. These chemicals can lead to rivers and streams that are choked by an overgrowth of plants. Overtime, these plants die. When this happens, oxygen levels in the water are greatly reduced. And this, in turn, can lead to the death of marine life. After this point it is not long until water in a given area cannot be sued for human consumption, and is not safe for even cooking or cleaning.
So how can we change this issue? By turning to organic cleaning products, instead. Organic cleaning products like Formula 101 are changing how we view these sorts of products. They can be just as effective as any chemical laden cleaner you might buy from the store. But they are 100% natural and environmentally friendly. This means organic cleaning products pose no risk to wildlife, humans, air quality, or water quality. In fact, Formula 101 is entirely biodegradable and made from plants. It contains absolutely no chemicals and is a fantastic alternative to more harsh cleaners you might be using in your home or workplace.

People are so concerned with being environmentally friendly they have resorted to cleaning with just water.
There aren't many choices out there. You can clean with harsh chemicals, use more biodegradable choices like vinegar and water or baking soda, or just use plain water and a high quality microfiber cloth.
It's easiest to use products sold in the store. They are conveniently packaged, come with there own spray nozzle and are well advertised on TV. We know what they are for and how to use them before we buy them. They come in bright and attractive packaging. They are easy to use and easy to acquire. Every grocery store has them. There are entire aisles dedicated selling them. They have become so mainstream you would think everyone uses these products. Most people have a cupboard full of them. It's status quo.
The cleaning industry is a multibillion dollar industry in North America and is showing no signs of slowing down.
Problem is that most of those products contain toxic ingredients. It's very difficult to find anything in the store that does not contain phosphates, butyls, phenols, or other extremely poisonous substances. We have been led to believe that we need these types of poisons to clean our homes. It's no surprise that people are looking for alternatives.
For a long time more and more people were using vinegar and water to clean. Either that or a mixture of baking soda. They had biodegradable ingredients but lacked the convenience that store bought products offered. It was just way too easy to go to the store and buy product rather than mixing your own. Baking soda and vinegar didn't clean the best and didn't smell great either and yet there are a number of people who still swear by it to this very day.
In the last few years there was some new ideas and products that came to light in the cleaning industry. With the invention of microfiber people were encouraged to clean with just water and special cloths. Cleaning without chemicals became the way to do it. The idea is great and for most things it works really well. The tougher stuff was a problem though. Microfiber and water works excellent on windows and mirrors but things like soapscum and stains...... not so much.
So that’s all the latest and greatest But are there any other alternatives?
We know we want to use the most environmentally friendly products possible but we want something that works..... and something that is convenient as well.
Recently cutting edge technology has given us a some new choices. Gone are the days we have to use harsh toxic chemicals to break down dirt. The inconvenient chore of mixing powders or vinegar and water to make a less than perfect cleaner can be a thing of the past as well.
Let me introduce a new concept in cleaning that makes the water clean better instead of breaking down the dirt at all. It is the most cutting edge technology existing today. Its organic, easy to use and works better than anything you have ever seen. It even works out to be about the same cost as vinegar to use!
Its also.... right now.... literally... at your finger tips. Just click here to watch a short video and see what I'm talking about. You decide.

At first people are usually quite proud of their new stainless steel belongings, that is until they try to clean them.
A person soon finds out that its almost impossible to clean it perfectly. The difficulty is that, even after repeated attempts it can still look like a streaky, marked up mess. After spending all that money on expensive appliances it can leave a person feeling dismayed.
The stainless steel contraptions are not the only thing that are expensive. The products sold to clean them can be costly as well. Sad thing is that most “stainless steel” cleaners clean ONLY stainless steel. Its not like someone could use those products to clean windows or stains on clothing or walls and floors. No, they would need to buy additional products for all that. So, another can of toxic cleaner is added under the sink.
Most of the upscale products are spray cleaners sold in an aerosol cans. A person sprays the pricey liquid onto the surface, holds their breath to avoid inhaling the toxic fumes, then hopes for the best wiping it off with a multitude of paper towels. The stuff smears all around leaving behind a sticky, streaky mess. If a person has 3 new appliances in their kitchen the can doesn't last long. Neither does the roll of paper towel.
The products are often petroleum based and quite toxic. The fumes are poisonous but so is the residue that's left behind. If a toddler runs their hand over the freshly cleaned surface then puts that hand in their mouth they are in danger of ingesting the petroleum ingredient. Yuck! It's the price one has to pay to have a temporarily shiny fridge. Seems many people are willing to take that risk.
The shine these products leave behind only lasts briefly. Touching the surface makes marks and streaks and the residue attracts dust. Almost as soon as the appliance is cleaned its time to clean it again. Born is a toxic never ending and highly frustrating cycle.
It doesn't have to be that way.
Even right now there is an answer..... and its easy!
An organic surfactant cleaner has no toxic fumes when spraying and leaves behind absolutely no residue that can leave marking and smearing on surfaces.
Using a “two cloth system” to clean makes for a steak free shine. Take the first cloth and wring it out under some warm water. Make it damp..... not soaked. Spray organic surfactant on to the surface being cleaned and wipe it with the damp cloth first removing all the dirt. Then buff to a brilliant shine with the clean dry cloth.
Formula 101 is the most powerful cleaning product on the market. It is 100% natural, safe and eco friendly. It works unlike chemical cleaners and is far more powerful.
Buy Formula 101 today and replace all the cleaners underneath your kitchen sink!

More are reading labels, following instructions and researching products like never before.
Nowadays with the help of the internet people can be informed and knowledgeable by simply searching for answers and punching in key words.
In regards to marketing products on the internet, descriptions and terminology can be misleading and downright dishonest.
With the mass amount of information available at our finger tips one must be very careful not to believe everything they read.
For example, it is extremely difficult to regulate the cleaning industry which means that terms like “biodegradable” and “environmentally friendly” are thrown around freely.
When purchasing eco friendly products, here are 5 common myths to avoid like the plague:
Biodegradable is defined as: “capable of decaying through the actions of living organisms”. Sometimes the definition is a little more specific as they add in the phrase “in a reasonable amount of time”.
A “reasonable amount of time” is completely relative. Everything breaks down eventually.
An advertiser may think that a millennium is a reasonable amount of time which would justify saying their product is biodegradable.
Plastic bags can float around in the ocean for thousands of years and yet you could define those bags as biodegradable because they will sooner or later break down.
Since anything and everything could be defined as “biodegradable”, this over used term has more bark than bite.
It’s important if you’re reading labels to understand that relative terms and phrases does not nail down exactly what is in the product.
A great example of this is kid’s juice boxes. The biggest part of the label says “contains 100% real juice”. Reading the back of the label one can find it contains only 5% actual juice -- the rest is water and filler.
The portion that makes up the 5% is actually 100% juice. Sound confusing? It is.
By the manufacturer describing their product this way they can appeal to people who are looking for real juice. It’s quite misleading but perfectly legal.
Companies do this with cleaning products as well.
“Contains natural ingredients” Again, not only is this a relative phrase but could possibly refer to only a small percentage of the actual produc. There are no regulations in place to stop misleading labeling from happening.
Beware that sometimes what influences our choice in product may, in fact, be only a small part of what makes up the actual product.
There are many labeling regulations in place to ensure safe levels of questionable ingredients and chemicals are used in products.
The problem with these regulations is that they are only enforced when minimum levels of those questionable ingredients and chemicals are actually used.
Manufacturers are allowed to add a certain amount of parts per million before they have to include it on their ingredients list. Often they will add as much as possible without going over the limit because they know the product will be better.
For example food products not including Monosodium glutamate (MSG) on the label because it does not exceed the regulation threshold. It’s not about the consumer if it tastes better they will sell more product. Companies will always do whatever makes them the greatest profit.
Often cleaning product manufacturers will keep the acidity of their product just below the caustic level to avoid including it on their label. You better believe the product will contain as much of the caustic soda as possible though – since the product will work much better. If it works better guess which product you will eventually choose?
For every industry there is an unimaginable amount of products that reach store shelves untested.
Enforcement agencies scrutinize initial batches ensure products are in compliance with health and commercial standards. But after the first few lots manufactures are left to police their own standards which can lead to deviations.
Due to the lack of continual testing by an outside entity, we frequently hear of product recalls on the news. From automobiles to food and personal hygiene products, nothing is exempt.
When society is primarily driven by profits companies will cut corners and serious health and environmental concerns can arise. Leaving industry to police and regulate its own products and safety standards can lead to disaster.
The best way to avoid being duped by an “untested batch” is to deal with reputable companies. Companies that have high safety and environmental standards usually have more expensive products and services. Sometimes it’s better to pay more for the safety of yourself and your family.
Occasionally a company or its products will be investigated after the initial licensing phase, but only after there has been a complaint.
Most complaints are made by phone or email and can easily be ignored.
The best way to have any complaint taken seriously is to write an appropriate letter and have a hard copy delivered by registered mail. Send that same letter to any and every authority you can in order to make sure your concern is dealt with.
Companies can operate fraudulently for years due to the difficulty in communicating product issues and harms to a manufacturer. Most of the time these companies just don’t because they are profit centric, not customer focused.
Being a company in the environmentally friendly cleaning niche, we see the major issues and challenges our industry must overcome to build confidence and trust.
We have dedicated our lives to developing and producing high quality, eco friendly cleaning systems.

A clean home feels good and makes for a more organized agenda. Engaging in home cleaning is usually secondary on most of our lists though. If only it were easier we may be more inclined to git-er-done. Here are 5 ideas designed to make cleaning our house less difficult.
This is great advice for packing and unpacking too but particularly effective when cleaning up a room. Its unwise to pick up a piece of clutter and put it somewhere else that you will end up moving it again. Everything has a place. When you touch something don't do another task until the object is out of your hands and put into its proper place. Refuse to let the thing out of your hands until it has been dealt with properly. Deal with one thing at a time. Do first things first until they're done. If you make a habit of this it makes for an easy system of ridding a room of clutter.
The hardest part of a big job is just that..... it's a big job. You are better off to do what you can, when you can than to heap a huge task on your plate.
The problem for many of us is that if the job looks too big we just never get started. It seems like way too much work. Its easier if you split up the work. No worries... the sun will rise again and many of this stuff can be put off until another time. Its nice if we can get just a little done today. The secret to doing this is to split major tasks into less intimidating "chunks". Then further split the chunks into doable size tasks.
You can go even further with this concept if you wish and split the doable size tasks into mini tasks. Don't do anything more that one mini task at a time. Focus and try doing the very best you can with each small task. For instance if the job you have is to clean all the windows in your house, split the job up into rooms. You could further split up the rooms into individual windows then even further into panes. If you only have time to do one pane you are still making forward progress. Rome wasn't built a day and a journey of a thousand miles starts with just one step.
If you are cleaning the windows its best if you put the panes back in. No use making a bigger mess or a bigger job. When it is time to choose your task, consider also the time it takes to clean up after your self. Consider the clean up as part of the task itself. Never leave a big mess while cleaning up a big mess! Nothing is more frustrating than walking into a room full of cleaning supplies and seeing junk scattered all over the place. Leave your work space clean so you can start fresh next time. Not only will this keep you from getting frustrated but it will also keep alive that all important momentum you need to continue with the job at hand.
This is likely the hardest part of doing any job. Life gets busy. We get caught up in whats going on in our lives. Friends drop in unexpectedly, the phone rings and someone on the line tells us we must do something now. Also, we tend to get run down. After a long day at work we may not feel like tackling another chore. There will always be things that will take priority over cleaning.... that's for sure.
One way we can over come inertia is to just do a little bit every day and keep up with the momentum. Things are still going to happen in our lives but the momentum behind what we want to get done will still be there. Just do a bit for now. Tell yourself "I do it now."
Remember, you are way ahead of the person that hasn't started yet. Give yourself a break. You are doing a good job... even if you have only done a bit today. Think of something you can treat yourself with. It can be food, a long walk, time by yourself to read a book.... whatever little reward you want.
Make cleaning up a game. Don't let yourself have the reward until you accomplish a certain set of tasks. Have fun with it.
Cleaning can be much less of a chore if we just get started and implement some of these easy ideas. Good luck and happy cleaning!
Jeffrey
P.s. Cleaning with the right product can make a huge difference in the amount of time and effort that it takes to get the job done. Formula 101 is an all natural cleaning product that has over 101 uses. Watch a video of it in action by click here.
]]>The difference is simply the way we look at it. We live in a very disposable society that seems to shun the very act of fixing and maintaining. There is an underlying marketing strategy that things are meant to get old and be replaced. We should just get rid of them and buy new is what is hammered in the advertising we see everyday. It is quite sad to think that many people live their lives this way. Out with the old.... in with the new. Many think things are only made to slightly outlast their warranty.
I would like to introduce an age old concept that makes you feel absolutely wonderful. You see, when we look after and maintain, and love and cherish what we already have.... we are given more to love and cherish. Its the simple law of attraction in our lives. We attract into our lives what we put out into the universe. The beautiful thing about this concept is that it really works.
If you don't believe me I will give you a challenge: Try going outside today and cleaning your car.... from top to bottom. Get into the air vents and clean all the dust out. Polish that old paint until it shines. Vacuum it all out. Clean the windows inside and out, wipe down the dash, the upholstery and the instrument panel. Really make it sparkle inside and out. If you wish... turn on some music and enjoy the experience.
I know many of you are thinking this is perhaps the worst nightmare you could imagine.... if this is the case stop reading now because what happens next and what I am about to describe will only happen if you actually take action and do this.
If you are still reading this is what happens:
You feel great about yourself! You feel as though you accomplished something. You feel like a million bucks! You forgot what you were upset about or what was on your mind when you started and you had an opportunity to relax. You created value. Not only does the car look clean to you but it looks clean to others too. This is a reflection of who you are. People love to see that you look after your things. People love to see you care. People look at you differently when they see you driving down the road in a nice clean car. They look up to you.... they are in awe of you.
When we see something clean, neat and organized we are able to see the world in a more positive way. It fosters optimism. Its the only "feel good" drug I know of that costs nothing other than the time (maybe the expense of the cleaner too).... and has absolutely no downside!
You feel great, you have a clean car (or clean something else if the car really isn't your thing) and people are looking at you with much respect. As if that wasn't enough... you are also attracting more really nice things that you will have an opportunity to care for into your life! Because you loved first you will attract more of what you love into your life! Wow!
Might take an hour or two of your time.... but the payoff is well worth it. Try it... you'll see. Whats the worst that can happen??? You get a nice clean car!
Happy cleaning and warm regards,
Jeffrey

Caught up in our busy lives, we are not aware of the many dangers around us. Being busy makes it easy to carry on with the conventional way things have been. It’s easy to miss red flags and blaring lights even when things are so black and white.
Today, I would like you to take a second.
Take a second to really learn something and apply it to your life. It could mean the difference between seeing your grand-child graduate and only getting to attend her 6th birthday party.
The chemicals contained in commercial cleaning products are extremely deadly, poisonous to your environment and toxic to your health.
I can already hear your thoughts – “tell me something I don’t know”. OK, to start…
Phthalates, which are found in aromatic products or any product that has a fragrance, including air fresheners, soaps and even toilet paper, can cause incurable genital side effects on male children. They are also known to be cancer causing.
Quaternary Ammonium Compounds (QUATS) are found in most household cleaners which are labeled ‘antibacterial’. QUATS help in breeding of antibiotic-resistant bacteria and it poses as a skin irritant which may cause dermatitis. Also, people who are regularly exposed to or in contact of Quaternary Ammonium Compounds may develop asthma later stages in life as it causes the burning of mucous membranes. This also affects the skin and can cause burns. QUATS can also cause abdominal pain, vomiting, anxiety, restlessness, hypotension, comma, cyanosis, nausea and respiratory muscle paralysis. Just lovely eh.
2-Butoxyethanol is one of the primary components found in window cleansers. It has a characteristic sweet smell. As per the government rules and regulations, it is not mandatory that a company lists this chemical in the product label. If inhaled in small quantities, this chemical may cause sore throats. On an intake at considerably high levels, 2-butoxyethanol leads to narcosis, severe liver and kidney damage and pulmonary edema.
The list goes on and on. By now I hope you’re getting the point. Every time you clean with commercial cleaning products you are putting yourself and your family at some degree of risk. What do you think will happen to your body after years upon years of inhaling and absorbing these products in your home? Even though you may not be able to smell it after a few hours, most of these chemicals can have a half-life that lasts years which can accumulate in your body.
It has been said by the National Safety Council that “the air pollution in your home can be 10-times worse than on an open highway”.
It’s actually quite simple. Start cleaning with natural and organic products.
By cleaning with a natural product you will greatly reduce your exposure to the above, and so many other, dangerous chemicals contained in these traditional cleaners.
In many cases, these products are more affordable and even more powerful than typical household cleaners.
In addition to being WAY better for your body, organic products are more sustainable for the environment and will help you to live a longer and healthier life.
If you would like to try a 100% Natural, Organic All Purpose Cleaner that is made completely from plants and can replace every commercial cleaner under your sink - learn more at Formula101.tv
Live longer, be healthier and protect your environment!
Happy cleaning and warm regards,

]]>Organic cleaning products are safer for your family because they do not expose them to harmful chemicals that have been linked to many terrible illnesses.
Chemicals in cleaners have been linked to everything from brain damage in children to cancer. Green cleaning products can help you to get your home really clean without leaving behind any of the harmful residue.
Long after you have rinsed away traditional cleaners the chemical imprint still remains. This chemical imprint can be releasing harmful fumes without you ever realizing it. Earth friendly products do not leave behind a harmful film of chemicals that can seep into your skin.
If you have children or pets you can be exposing them to cleaning agents long after you have finished cleaning. These chemicals can stay on surfaces and seep into porous materials for weeks after you have used them. They can actually stay around for a lot longer than weeks in many cases.
The residue can contain the most harmful concentrations of the chemicals that children and pets especially are likely to come in contact with. These harsh chemicals can cause rashes and allergies, breathing problems and even digestive issues.
Most people do not give a second thought to what they are leaving behind when they clean! Sometimes what you leave behind is more important than what you clean up!
The residue is not the only thing that you are leaving behind when you clean using traditional chemical cleaners. You are also causing some problems with your interior air. The molecules from those traditional cleaners are present everywhere you are cleaning.
Even if you can not smell the chemicals you are still being effected by them. The molecules mix in with the molecules in your air and travel through your duct work. While some molecules will get caught on their way through your filtration system many will not.
It is a chance that you are taking every time you use harsh cleaners to clean your home. Many people do not realize that stuffy feeling that they get in their homes can be directly linked to the amount of chemicals that are flying around their homes in their air ducts.
You can make the choice to not inflict these chemicals on your family and still get your home sparkling clean. Choosing organic cleaning products that come from natural sources is a choice for the health of your family. Keep in mind that earth friendly cleaning products does not mean that you are getting less strength to clean with you are actually going to get even more powerful cleaning attributes. Most chemical cleaners are created in a laboratory to mimic the cleaning power of naturally found elements!
Green cleaning products are the path to a healthier home! You do not have to use harsh chemicals that put your family in danger to get your house clean! Make the right choice today!

Not only are organic products safer for children, pets, and the environment, but they can help you live a healthier life style and leave less of a carbon footprint for future generations.
This article: 11 Things It's Best to Buy Organic - by Sara Reistad-Long of Health.com explains 11 organic products that are essential for our health.
Below, I have chosen 3 natural products that I believe to be most important, and are not too expensive. These products can help us and our families live healthier lives.
Why should you switch to organic beef? Research done shows a solid connection between the hormones given to cattle to increase their size and weight and cancer in humans. Doctors are worried that the estrogen-like agents could make you more susceptible to abnormal cell growth.
When you purchase certified organic beef you will be able to eliminate those hormones, and the incredibly high doses of antibiotics that cattle receive, from your diet permanently.
Personally, having known people that had Cancer, when I found this out I made the switch instantaneously.
Why use natural cleaning products? Using common household cleaners can expose you and your family to dangerous chemicals. The chemicals found in store bought cleaning products can include ammonia, chlorine bleach, and phthalates.
Phthalates are found in many chemical cleaning products including dispersants, lubricants, emulsifying agents, and detergents. Phthalates are easily released in the environment, and in studies of rodents have been shown to change hormone levels and cause birth defects.
Though widely used in many general purpose cleaning products, ammonia is both caustic and hazardous. Ammonia can irritate your eyes, skin, respiratory and digestive tracts. Never mix ammonia with any liquid containing bleach, as a poisonous gas may result. Due to the fact that ammonia can produce a streak-free shine, it is found in cleaning products such as: glass cleaner, oven cleaner, soaking items to loosen baked-on grime, and stainless steel cleaner.
Chlorine bleach in chemical cleaners is used to whiten clothes, disinfect, and remove stains. In humans, chlorinated compounds are toxic and carcinogenic. The gases are also harmful to the ozone and our environment.
Why switch to organic milk? Dairy products account for over 60% of the estrogens we consume in our diet. Milk naturally contains hormones that are passed along to us through cows. These hormones are associated with an increased risk for cancer.
Specifically, cows are treated with the hormones rBST or rBGH which stimulates the cow’s milk production. When shopping for organic milk, look for ones that are produced without artificial hormones.
With many organic products now being readily available there is absolutely no reason to sacrifice the long term health of you and your family.
One of the easiest ways to start is by eliminating the hazardous and caustic chemicals used in your home.
Formula 101 is a 100% Natural, Organic All Purpose Cleaner. It is a Bio-Surfactant made from plants. Unlike chemical cleaners which try to attack and dissolve dirt molecules (the harsher the better for some brands), Surfactants lower the surface tension of water, thus allowing the water to become so thin that it can surround the individual dirt molecules and lift it away from any surface.
As a result we market an amazingly environmentally friendly product with no fumes, easy on your hands and can never damage any washable surface or material.

]]>Not only does microfiber work better than traditional cotton cleaning cloths..... it works exponentially better.
Its actually quite ironic how microfiber functions. Microfiber itself is 100% plastic. As I'm sure you know, plastic is totally non absorbent. It's impossible for plastic itself to absorb anything. So how does it work?
There are two different types of plastic that are woven together. A hard plastic (polyamide) and a soft plastic (polyester). Good quality microfiber is usually a 70% polyester and 30% polyamide blend. These fibers can be woven together then stretched. They found that once these fibers are woven together they can stretch the resulting fabric almost indefinitely before it breaks. Hence the term "microfiber" was coined.
Once the fiber is stretched to about one tenth the width of a human hair they treat it with a chemical that "splits" the fibers apart separating the polyester portion of the fiber from the polyamide portion. The result is a very tiny space between the fibers. It's true that both portions of the plastic fibers are totally non absorbent, but the space between the fibers create a capillary action that draws molecules into the cloth.
It is said that microfiber is ten times more absorbent than ordinary cloths. Microfiber can absorb 10 times its weight in liquid! Wow!! That's significant.
It's very effective cleaning with microfiber because these fibers are stretched so tiny you are working primarily on the molecular level. Not only does it clean to a brilliant shine but it picks up up to 99% of the bacteria on any surface as well. This means that microfiber is almost as effective of a disinfectant as formaldehyde! The difference is that instead of killing the bacteria you are simply picking it up with the cloth and can rinse it out later. Microfiber could be considered as a disinfectant WITHOUT the use of chemicals.
If there is a downside to microfiber it's that it is indeed plastic. Plastic can take centuries to biodegrade under normal circumstances. This means that a microfiber cleaning cloth could potentially float around in the ocean for hundreds of years. You could say that microfiber is the most environmentally friendly we know of right now. Although it is plastic and not biodegradable like cotton or linen, it can last decades before you ever have to dispose of it. Rather than going through hundreds of pounds of paper towels you could potentially save the environment that needless concern by using these microfiber products properly.
One way you could make your microfiber last is to wash it out with dish soap or hand soap only. Keep it away from laundry products. Virtually all laundry soaps have fabric softeners which work great on fabrics.... not plastic. Fabric softeners tend to melt plastic and although the cloth would look the same after laundering it would never work the same because all the "split fibers" will have melted together. It is best to wash your microfiber cloths out with a drop or two of dish soap, rinse it out using warm water then hang it to dry.
Personally I think the benefits of using microfiber for your everyday cleaning far outweigh any detriments. Microfiber is safe and effective, lessens the use of paper products and chemical disinfectants and pretty much leaves things shiny when you use them. So go ahead and enjoy using microfiber! It's easy to use and tremendously effective and it can be lots of fun too!

After camping with my family for a week in southern BC I noticed that my holiday trailer was less than clean. I have to admit that I had only cleaned it before by pulling into the RV pressure washer bay. It always came clean enough. After this trip I decided to put some FORMULA 101 into a bucket and brush it on.
It was a family affair on a hot day.
My youngest 7yr old son had a little brush and he was cleaning the rims by dipping the brush into the solution we were using then running to each wheel. His job was to get into all the crevices and grooves that my bigger brush could not get into.
My daughter was the rinser. I bought a reducer for our garden hose which works great. My job was to brush the Formula 101 solution on, one section at a time, and 10 yr old Jennifer would rinse it off.
We worked our way around the vehicle, a section at a time, ensuring the solution didn't dry on the surface. The whole 25 ft trailer took about 40 minutes to complete.
I love the way Formula 101 sheets the water off to virtually eliminate water spots! Sure it was coming clean but what happened next made me smile.
While I was driving down to where I park my trailer I glanced in the rear view mirror. I had to do a double take as I didn't recognize the reflection. The trailer had come so clean that for a moment I questioned whether it was mine! Never before had I seen it that shiny! It was more brilliant than the day we bought it. I was amazed. It looked like a brand new unit! I vowed to take the time to clean all of my vehicles on my driveway using Formula101 from now on.
Although the pressure washer is a little faster, the shear shine that Formula 101 leaves behind is definitelydefinately worth the small added effort.
Looking in my rear view mirror that day convinced me that I am onto something big. I must tell others about this. It's way too effective to be kept a secret. The world has got to know!
All you have to do is clean your vehicle once using this amazing environmentally friendly solution. Join forces with me to tell others. There is a better way! Its the shine I say..... I love it!

Everyone is talking about how we need to save the environment but we don’t hear much of a reason why. Well, here are a couple reasons why you should go green today!
You Are NOT Alone
There are billions of people in this world and there are billions more that are going to inhabit this earth. Take care of it so that when future generations are here they will be able to breath clean air and look at beautiful trees. Just think about others.
Your Wallet’s Getting Smaller
Green energy is far less expensive then some of the other ways we consume resources. Some people might tell you that it costs more to use green energy but they are flat out wrong. Big oil and gas companies are the ones that are making a profit off you so they don’t want you to use the energy-saving, clean resources that have been developed. Let’s make those companies go broke.
Mmmmm! Smell that Smog
Smog is gross. Period. By it smells bad and cause a plethora of health problems. By going green you prevent these health issues and will help clean up the air. That’s all you really need to know about smog. It’s bad.
Landfills Are Like Mini-Mountains
Everybody loves landfills, right? Landfills are a big problem in our world. All that trash that goes unrecycled goes to a dump until it’s full. Once it’s full they cover up all that trash with dirt and forget about it. All the nasty chemicals and overall gross-ness seeps into the ground and ends up in our streams and waterways. That’s not good and you can help prevent it. Gross.
What’s A Polar Bear?
The pollution that we are producing is slowly aiding in the melting of the icecaps. Believe it or not there is a whole ecosystem on both the poles and we are contributing to their death. What did they do to deserve to die? Nothing! Let’s help conserve the icecaps so our kids don’t eventually ask us, “What are polar bears?”
I Don’t Want to Die
Well, the human population isn’t going to die anytime soon, but we are using up resources fast and it’s going to cause a lot of problems in the future. Let’s cut down on our use of our natural resources and help keep the environment clean. It’s easier than you think.
It’s A Better Life Style
When we use the 3 R’s (reduce, reuse, recycle) we feel better about ourselves. Don’t you want to feel good that you are making a difference? Start using organic products and reduce your carbon footprint. We can all do a little something to help out the world.
So, now you know why you should take care of the earth but how do you start?
Formula 101 is an Organic All Purpose Cleaner that can help you reduce the amount of harmful chemical cleaners in your home.
Formula 101 is 100% biodegradable, non-toxic and non-corrosive. Formula 101 is environmental technology. Unlike chemical cleaners, Formula 101 lowers the surface tension of the water and then encapsulates dirt molecules into a foam, which can easily be wiped away.

When it comes to our cleaning products we need to be extra cautious because we don’t know what’s in them. Why risk it? Why not use an organic cleaner? I’ll give 5 reasons why you need to switch to an organic cleaning product today!
Unknown and Unregulated Chemicals
There are hundreds of thousands of chemicals that are used to make cleaning products. When you don’t use an organic cleaning product you are using a solution that contains chemicals that are unregulated by the EPA. Scary thought, I know. If you use a cleaning product like Formula 101 you will know exactly what chemicals, if any, are being used. This will help you and your family stay safe and clean.
Keep Kids Safe
If you have kids you know that they get into everything including the cleaning supplies. If you use a cleaning product that has harmful chemicals in it your child could potentially get into it and end up in the hospital with a serious illness. Using an organic all purpose cleaner will help keep your kids safe because if they get into the cleaning cabinet they will swallow a solution that won’t have much of an effect on them. The cleaner is organic so all the chemicals that are in it can be found outside and won’t cause any harm to the body.
Smells Better
If you’ve ever used a cleaning product that isn’t organic you know that stinging sensation you get in your eyes and nose. All those chemicals are harmful to your body and they don’t smell very good. They might clean the kitchen floor but it comes at a cost. Avoid all the pain from those cleaning products and use an Formula 101. It smells better and it won’t cause any discomfort when you use it.
Cleaner Air
We’ve all used those spray aerosol cans to try and “clean” the air. What you probably didn’t know was that those sprays contain harmful chemicals that can cause serious damage to your central nervous system. Doesn’t sound very clean now does it? Formula 101 doesn’t use any of those chemicals so there won’t be any damage to your body at all.
Poisoning Your Water Supply
When you use laundry detergent, toilet bowl cleaners, or even dish soap you could be poisoning local rivers and water supplies. This water could effect the environment and wildlife. Not only that, this water could come back to your household and then you and your family would be drinking and using the water that was already dirtied up by you in the first place.
Do you want to stop using harmful, caustic, chemical cleaners?. It’s organic, not harmful and it will help keep you and the environment safe. Switch to FORMULA 101 to see what a difference it will have in your everyday cleaning.
